The fall colors are gone in the Orava region now, replaced by lots of white atop the peaks and summits. Hiking trails will soon be covered with cross country ski tracks, and waterfalls will cascade over rocks glazed with ice. Towns and villages will soon begin decorating for the holiday season, a time of bright lights, gourmet foods, and whimsical celebrations.
